Is this a chalet or a villa? you might wonder when seeing the Ioana Pension.
Looked at from outside, the massive timber construction seems like a chalet in the mountain setting of the Arieseni village. Once inside the house, you’ll be surprised by the convenience and the modern equipment: double insulated windows, central heating, modern bathrooms etc. The rooms have much space and light, with massive wooden furniture. Everything is new! The pension was opened in 2004. The hosts are young and enthusiastic, and will do everything so that you feel good. When you’ll have dinner in the wooden pavilion in the courtyard, you’ll see in front of you the whole view of the Apuseni Mountains.

Access by car: driving on DN 75 Campeni-Stei, pass the centre of the Arieseni village and drive on ca. 2 km. Right across from “CASA NOASTRA” – a construction of white stone, turn right, driving off the main road on a road going up a hill. After ca. 100 m you reach the Ioana guesthouse.

	- chalet games(checkers, rummy, backgammon, playing cards – available)
	- ski on the track at Vartop(8 km)
	- fishing in the Aries river(license can be obtained upon request)
	- guided trekking for exploring the flora, fauna and sighting the trails of wild animals
	- baths in the river
	- mountain “rally” in an IMS, a Russian military vehicle from the ’60s, with 4x4 traction
